"USAGI!!!!"

The small blonde heard her name being called, but it didn't seem to be worth abandoning her dream in order to respond to that shrill call. She rolled over and put her pillow over her head in order to block out the annoying voice.

"Usagi, come on get up. You promised to take me to the park today and it's already noon."

Usagi lifted up the edge of the pillow and cracked open one blue eye to glare at the brown eyed, pink haired little spore standing right next to her bed with the pleading expression on her face.

"Oh, all right I'm getting up..." She said as the pillow flew across the room and hit the wall. The pillow hit with a muted thump and fell to the floor already forgotten in the choas of the room. As Usagi lurched up out of the bed she accidentally dumped the still sleeping Luna onto the floor.

"Mrrrrrrroooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwww" Luna yelled. Luna, a black cat with an unusual moon-shaped cresent bald spot upon her forehead, glared up at Usagi. "Usagi, why don't you warn a person when you are about to dump them on the floor..." Luna grumbled and proceeded to go about cleaning her already smooth fur.

Usagi glared down at the offending ball of fur and the turned her attention to the pink haired demon glaring up at her. "Chibi-Usa you really know how to ruin a good dream." Grumbled the still sleepy Usagi as she turned away from the pink hair child and made her way to the bathroom. "Well I wouldn't have had to wake you up if you had set your alarm like you promised." Chibi-Usa stated as she folded her arms across her chest. The child looked very much like the blonde that was currently brushing her teeth, her pink hair was gathered up in two pointy odango's with the excess hanging down in fluffy little ponytails. Her eyes were a brown russet color that were glaring at the blonde in the bathroom showing her impatience to be gone and on her way to the park.

Usagi caught a glimpse of the child behind her when she looked up into the mirror. Looking at her own reflection she grabbed a brush and proceeded to put her hair up into the familiar odangos on top of her head. The rest of her hair hung in two ponytails down her back almost to her ankles. She dressed in a tank top and shorts, put her sandles on and proceeded the child out of the door.

"Mom, Chibi-Usa and I are going to the park..." Usagi yelled toward the rear of the house as she sailed out the door closely followed by the child. The two of them walked toward the park glancing at the cars that passed by on the street ocassionally.

"Hey Usagi wait up!!!!" Came a shout from somewhere behind the pair. They turned around to be greeted by the site of a pretty blonde running toward them. The new arrival had her hair pulled away from her face with a giant red bow that never seemed to leave her. She stopped in front of the two abruptly putting her hands on her knees and panting as if she had just run a marathon. Chibi-Usa looked at the blonde beauty and then at Usagi, "You know if you didn't eat like Usagi here, that run would have barely phased you. We are going to have a bunch of fat senshi on our team."

The blonde stood up quickly still lightly panting and glared at the child, "I will have you know that I am in perfect shape." The blonde then turned her attention to Usagi, "So what are you all up to today?"

"Nothing much Mina-chan, I am just taking Chibi-Usa here to the park to get out some of her boundless energy." Usagi stated as she glared down at the child. "Your welcome to come along if you would like. I need the company." And with that said the trio proceeded down the street until the found themselves at the gate of one of Tokyo's many small parks.

"KAIYOU!!!!" A pair of bright blue eyes looked up at her name being called. Kaiyou was in the process of filing a stack of papers at the library that she worked in part-time. "I'm coming" she said a with a little less volume.

Okamino Kaiyou proceed to set down the papers and make her way to the front of library. She possed a natural grace and her movements seemed to flow like water. She ran her hand through the long blue hair that reached the back of her knees. She kept the side of it braided and hung it over her left shoulder in a nameless fashion that had probably long since past. The library's curator looked up at the attractive young woman and paused in awe at her artistic beauty. The woman paused in front of the curator and folded her hands demurly in front of her waiting to hear the message that had pulled her away from her work.

"It's time for your lunch break." Stated the curator. Kaiyou nodded and went to the back to grab her lunch. She decided to take her lunch and eat it at the park across the street. Stepping outside she took a moment to let her eyesight adjust to the bright sun. Being inside the darkened library for hours at a time made her long for the times she could just stand in the sunlight. She held her face up to the sunlight and for a moment it seemed she absorbed the sun's very light. The moment was disturbed when a small bird flew overhead casting a small shadow over Kaiyou's face. She shrugged and proceeded to cross the street to the park.

Walking through the park Kaiyou took time to stop and smell flowers here and there. Birds flew overhead creating a symphony above that lulled her into a sense of calm security.

"WAAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!", That's when she heard the scream. The sound of horror made Kaiyou stop directly in her tracks. And then in front of her appeared a rip in the very fabric of time and from it stepped a hidiously deformed monster. It's yellow eyes leered at Kaiyou as if they would devour her right then. In it's hand it held a small lifeless body, from which Kaiyou assumed the scream had come. Now no more screams would come forth from small lifeless chest...Nothing would.

Then the hideous creature spoke. "Another victim, and this one has a delicious energy." It's voice sounded like glass breaking and Kaiyou held her hands over her ears in agony. The creatures mangled lips parted in what could pass for a gaping smile. It's fangs dripped with a yellow liquid that killed the grass as it hissed into the earth below the creature. It took a step forward....

"RUNNNNNNN!!!" A voice shouted from behind. The voice freed Kaiyou from her trance like state of paralysis letting her take flight toward the bushes from behind her. But that's wear the fear stopped, because now the creature's attention was directed toward the direction of voice. Kaiyou peered out of the bushes and saw two young school girls and a child of no more than 10 years of age standing in front of the creature defiantely. She started to shout at the them to run, but then the girl with two blonde odango's on her head shouted at the beast.

"I am the protector and defender of this planet..." The girl shouted at the beast. She then proceeded to raise her right hand into the air. In her hand she held a golden heart shaped locket the diamond in the middle seemed to sparkle with an intensity of it's own.

"Moon Crisis, Make Up!!!" Both the young heroine and the child shouted at the same time. At this time Kaiyou noticed that the young girl with the pink odangos held a similar heart shaped locket.

"Venus Star, Make Up!!!" Shouted the third girl with the long blonde hair and red bow.

The young girl with the blonde odango's and her young counterpart's bodies lifted into the air. That's when a startling transformation took place. Thier school uniforms were replace with sailor's outfits of an incandesent hue. When it was over two soldiers stood in the place where seconds ago stood two children. The third young girl held her right hand at a 45 degree angle toward the earth and in it appeared small pen with the symbol of Venus on it. Then the young girl was covered with golden sparkles and her uniform was also replaced with a sailor uniform.

Now three Soldiers stood staring defiantely at the horrid creature, who during this transformation had stood transfixed. "I am the protector of love and justice, Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon, and I will punish you!!" Shouted the one with the blond odangos. She struck a pose pointing the finger of her right hand at the hideous creature who hissed at this point.

"Pretty Energy, but yours is not subdued like that last little morsel." The creature spat out at the trio. It then held up it's left hand and in it formed a small ball of black energy. "You shall be my next meal..." with that the creature let the ball of energy fly at the small band of soldiers. They scattered in all direction to avoid the energy ball but the foot of the one called Sailor Moon was caught in the black blast. She fell to the ground in a graceless lump.

"Venus, Chibi-Usa I can't feel my foot. It's gone completely numb." The young girl's voice shook with a tremor of terror. The creatures thin lips parted in a grotesque smile. "Pretty Energy..." it hissed yet again.

Kaiyou's attention was distracted away from the battle in front of her when she felt a presence over her shoulder. She turned around and found a blue light floating behind her. The light pulsed as a voice was heard from it.

"Daughter the time has come. The princess of this solar system is in dire peril and none of her protectors are yet strong enough to stop the coming force." The voice seemed to vibrate with an intensity that held Kaiyou captive. "Now is the time to awaken the memories that will enable you to become a soldier of justice."

The light moved forward and Kaiyou flinched away in fear. It enveloped her body and the soft glow illuminated the bushes around her. Memories of times long gone flooded her brain bringing tears to her eyes at the tragedy of the Silver Millenium.

When Kaiyou opened her eyes the soft blue glow had left her body and in her hand was a small pen with a globe at the top. The globe had three smaller globes on the edges and it hummed with a contained power. Raising the pen in the air Kaiyou shouted the words that the blue light had shown her. "Aquatic Star Power, Make Up!!!" Kaiyou's body was then suprising surrounded by bubbles and an electric blue light. Her clothes were then replaced with the Sailor Uniform of the other Soldiers, with blue knee high boots, and blue gloves.
